Based on omniphobic nanotechnology, AeroPel NPL creates a low surface energy for the substrate to repel moisture and fouling from the protected area. The low surface energy forces moisture to bead up instead of “wetting” the protected substrate. By not allowing the moisture to wet – and remain in full contact with – the protected substrate, it prevents fouling and reduces deposit build up.

With a superior bond strength to the substrate, resistant to chemicals and abrasion, AeroPel NPL provides a robust protection for both bare metal and existing organic-based protective measures. AeroPel NPL is inherently durable and outperforms traditional organic-based corrosion inhibiting compounds.

APW200 NPL technology is the next generation of protection developed for aircraft ECS. Apply NPL to promote efficient airflow (integral to providing air supply), thermal control, and cabin pressurization within the aircraft. With low viscosity, the NPL can be easily applied by spray or paint application with an effective thickness of less than 1 mil. At room temperature, the NPL is cured in under one hour, allowing for less workflow interruption. With zero-VOC, workflow in confined space can progress during the application process without stoppage or reduced productivity. NPL is a two-part mixture with a pot life of 72 hours.
