Oceanit’s AeroPel team has been hard at work collaborating with the Texas Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) to evaluate AeroPel Nanocomposite Protective Layer (NPL) for corrosion and erosion protection on their fleet of aircaft.
The AeroPel NPL team were in Dallas last week for the Aviation Week Network’s MRO Americas event. MRO stands for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul and the conference in Dallas brought together over 800 exhibitors and solution providers from around the aviation world.
Oceanit had the honor of applying AeroPel Nanocomposite Protective Layer (NPL) to the rotors of a retired Marine Corps H-46 Sea Knight helicopter. Oceanit’s NPL team is working with the National United States Armed Forces Museum, who own and maintain the helicopter, designated “Pedro 01,” to evaluate NPL’s ability to protect rotor surfaces from erosion damage.
